Cheap Auto Insurance for Good Drivers

Drivers who drive clean and traffic citations can have car insurance rates significantly lower in the state of Ohio.

Cheap Auto Insurance for Drivers with DUI

Everyone makes a mistake and has to deal with the consequences, but the consequences of a DUI can be severe. These penalties include fines into the thousands of dollars. Finding affordable rates for OH car insurance after a DUI is no small feat, but if you really have trouble getting an affordable rate, consider only liability insurance as a way to save.

Cheap Auto Insurance for Drivers with an At-Fault Accident

Even a tiny fender bender can lift interest rates to levels that will significantly alter your budget. Insurers look at different time frames to track your driving history, from the time of your accident to the date of your accident and even up to a few months later. One company could look at the last five years, while the other could look at the last three years and so on.

Cheap Auto Insurance for Speeding Drivers

Speeding tickets can directly impact the rate you pay for OH auto insurance.  Get enough of them and you can even lose your license.

Cheap Auto Insurance for Young Drivers

Inexperienced drivers pose a higher risk to insurance providers so their rates can be significantly higher than average drivers. Novice drivers should be especially careful to maintain a clean driving record and comply with all speed limits and other driving regulations. Some OH insurance companies can provide more favorable rates than others for younger drives. It's worth getting multiple quotes so you can save money on your monthly insurance premiums.

Montrose-Ghent, OH SR‌-22 Insurance

You will need to get SR‌-22 insurance in OH if it's ordered by the state or a court. If it's a court that orders it, then the judge will notify you of this at the hearing. If it's ordered by the state, then you will get a letter from the DMV/BMV.

Not all drivers need an SR-22. It's generally only required if you are caught driving without a valid license or valid insurance. You may also need an SR-22 in these cases:

  • Convicted of a DUI or DWI
  • Operating a vehicle without insurance
  • Too many violations or accidents where you are at-fault
  • Multiple offenses in a short time frame (i.e. getting 4 speeding tickets within a few months)
  • Refusing to pay child support that is court-ordered
  • Having to obtain a hardship license

The SR-22 is not an insurance policy. It's a document that your insurance company in OH files with the state to prove you have adequate car insurance. This allows you to legally drive again if you are ordered to get an SR-22. Not all insurers offer SR-22s so you may need to shop around.

Ohio is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States. Of the fifty states, it is the 34th-largest by area, and with a population of just over 11.8 million, is the seventh-most populous and tenth-most densely populated. The state's capital and largest city is Columbus, with the Columbus metro area, Greater Cincinnati, and Greater Cleveland being the largest metropolitan areas. Ohio is bordered by Lake Erie to the north, Pennsylvania to the east, West Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the southwest, Indiana to the west, and Michigan to the northwest. Ohio is historically known as the "Buckeye State" after its Ohio buckeye trees, and Ohioans are also known as "Buckeyes".

The state takes its name from the Ohio River, whose name in turn originated from the Seneca word ohiːyo', meaning "good river", "great river", or "large creek". Ohio arose from the lands west of Appalachia that were contested from colonial times through the Northwest Indian Wars of the late 18th century. It was partitioned from the resulting Northwest Territory, which was the first frontier of the new United States, and became the 17th state admitted to the Union on March 1, 1803, and the first under the Northwest Ordinance. Ohio was the first post-colonial free state admitted to the union, and became one of the earliest and most influential industrial powerhouses in the 20th century; although it has transitioned to a more information- and service-based economy in the 21st century, Ohio remains an industrial state, ranking seventh in GDP as of 2019, with the third largest manufacturing sector and second largest automobile production.

The government of Ohio is composed of the executive branch, led by the governor; the legislative branch, consisting of the bicameral Ohio General Assembly; and the judicial branch, led by the state Supreme Court. Ohio occupies 16 seats in the United States House of Representatives. The state is known for its status as both a swing state and a bellwether in national elections. Seven presidents of the United States have come from Ohio, the most of any state; this has led to it receiving the moniker "the Mother of Presidents".

Vehicle insurance (also known as car insurance, motor insurance, or auto insurance) is insurance for cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other road vehicles. Its primary use is to provide financial protection against physical damage or bodily injury resulting from traffic collisions and against liability that could also arise from incidents in a vehicle. Vehicle insurance may additionally offer financial protection against theft of the vehicle, and against damage to the vehicle sustained from events other than traffic collisions, such as keying, weather or natural disasters, and damage sustained by colliding with stationary objects. The specific terms of vehicle insurance vary with legal regulations in each region.
